them too. The back is alright, the swivel clasp is missing but this
brooch still works as a C clasp. I will include a transparent rubber

VINTAGE 1940s SWISS FOLK COSTUME COUPLE SILVERTONE BROOCHES

condition, unsigned. Lots of aging with darkening on the silvertone and
some wear revealing a coppery base. The pin-back has a deep patina. Cut
steel-style pair of brooches, it features a man and woman couple in
Swiss folk costumes. This set is very similar (or almost identical) to a
Trifari patent dated 1939, number 113,523 and 113,524, except the girl
has no flowers here and it was probably rhinestone accented. This is
possibly a knockoff version made in the 1940s based on Trifari's designs
but still cute and collectible!

Excellent condition, unworn vintage stock from old factory closeout.
This has just one tiny small scuff on the back pink base revealing the
silvertone base. One tiny nick on the tip of the front petal,
unnoticeable. Enamel chips are normal for these kinds of flower power
brooches and one would expect a chip one way or another. The brooch is
very large and has 3 stacked petals with a pale blue plastic dome in the
center. The true colours are neon deep pink and neon pink, the photos
does not capture the colours accurately, quite brightly fluorescent in
person and sure to stand out! 1960s.

Excellent condition, unworn vintage stock from old factory closeout.
There are some scuff chips on the dark blue petals, this happened when
the white petals nestled in rubbed against the surface. It is considered
minor and not obvious. Enamel chips are normal for these kinds of
flower power brooches and one would expect a chip one way or another.
The brooch is very large and weighs on the heavy side, it consists of 5
stacked petals with a silvertone dome in the center. The base petals are
really funky, it is a white background with aqua and yellow splatter
effects! 1960s.

It is made plastic, in layers, possibly celluloid, acetate or some form of old plastic. There appears to be some touch-ups on the flower itself, the silver glitter edges and the tops of the pink petals may have been added later. I am guessing this as the underside petals seem to have a more original paintwork similar to how the leaves are. Wonderful statement piece, possibly around 1950s. Will ship in a box for safety.

Unmarked but tests for silver content. Good condition with some nicks on the surface from bumping around, minor aging. The brooch is sturdily made and weighs heavy, it has a black drop on the bottom, which could be glass or onyx, square black & metallic brown coloured crystals on the sides and tops, there are tiny chips to the crystals from being bumped. The medieval style could indicate this is an Arts & Crafts style from 1910s, but it could be up to 1930s.

Signed '©RENOIR'. Very good - excellent condition, minor normal scuffs on the polished surface from bumping around. Very nice quality, glowing burnished copper with a brushed surface and the other is highly polished, of 2 caladium leaves. 1950s. Renoir of California was founded in 1946 and ceased operations in 1964, copper & enamelling on copper with a modernist flair were their signature traits and are highly collectible.

Fine - good condition, a few small areas where the plating has chipped off revealing a dark grey base, this occurs on the right side of the setting and the right edges, it is not particularly obvious when worn. The cabochon features a romantic couple, it has a 'sugar coat' texture, the coat has come off on a small section of the topmost part, also not an obvious flaw, it is somewhat glued off center. The back has some glue residue. 1960s-70s.

VINTAGE BLACKTONE AMERICAN REVOLUTION PAINTING BROOCH

Good condition with aging, the blacktone has a glossy finish but is dull on the left border, probably due to verdigris occuring on the brass metal beneath. The pinback is glued not too straight, and there is a streak on the front of the plastic cabochon which can only be seen when viewed towards the light. It shows a scene of the American Revolution War with the Grand Union flag and Bunker Hill flag. 1970s.
